Alex, Barney and I founded Woodwork for Wellbeing C.I.C. in 2019 with a desire to deliver open access workshops to all people of all ages. Our first delivery was to a childrens centre in Borough, South London hosted by the Goodlife Centre in Gt. Suffolk Street (thegoodlifecentre.co.uk). It was a big success which then led us to running a social prescribing workshop once a week in Bethnal Green hosted by St. Margarets House in Old Ford Road. This weekly provision continues to this day. I then established a partnership with Cyril Jackson Primary School in Limehouse delivering a weekly workshop as part of a wider Enrichment Programme to a small group of SENCO pupils. Another successful workshop which continues to this day. Another primary school in Poplar, as part of the same academy, is keen for me to offer something similar to their most needy pupils.
