Once a week on a Saryrday morning I lead a group called Woodskills for adolescents who obligated to do community service. The programme is run for Cambs. and Peterborough YMCA and Cambs. Youth Offending Service. The nature of the sessions is to engage with the youngsters whist building items to be donated to the community.
Examples of past projects are:
1. Bee hotel on Christs Pieces, Cambridge.
2. Compost bin and Bug hotel for Midsummer Orchard.
3. Bug Hotel for Petersfield Community Trust.
4. Fence enclosure for Trumpington Orchard.
5.Window Boxes for Petersfield/ Cambridge City Council.
6. Raised beds for disabled user at Whitehill Allotment.
7. Nesting Box kits for event at Logans Meadow.
8. Community Garden including raised beds for Ainsworth Street Garden(ongoing)
